Job summary

DTE Electric Company in Newport, MI, seeks a Nuclear Maintenance Superintendent to support the nuclear organization with expertise in mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and controls, valves, turbine, or FIN. You will supervise the first-line supervisors and drive continuous improvement for safe, reliable plant operation.

Preferred qualifications include a degree in engineering or science, an SRO license, and experience in production maintenance roles within power generation.

Qualifications

• Three years of supervisory experience or experience leading and managing others.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in engineering or a scientific field preferred.
• SRO license or certification preferred for certain roles.

Responsibilities

• Administers the functions of the Union Agreement and enforces policies for the Maintenance section.
• Responsible for maintenance activities ensuring safe and reliable plant operation.
• Develops programs and practices to achieve high performance and attention to detail.
• Maintains accredited training program per National Academy of Nuclear Training guidelines.
• Maintains technical expertise through training, benchmarking and self-assessments.
• Manages costs within approved budget and seeks cost reduction opportunities.
• Promotes and enforces procedure adherence and safety.
