Synectic Solutions, Inc. in Patuxent River, MD seeks an AI/ML Engineer & Data Management Specialist (Journeyman) to integrate advanced data science, AI/ML, and data-management across multi-level security environments for LO sustainment.

This in-person role supports DoD/NAVAIR missions and requires collaboration with engineers, logisticians, and program managers. You will develop prompts for GenAI, build predictive models, manage ETL pipelines, and create clear technical reports and data

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in data science, analytics, IT.
• At least 3 years of experience in data science, analytics, or data management.
• Experience delivering results in multi-level security environments.
• Hands-on experience with AI/ML models and prompt engineering for GenAI or similar tools.
• Ability to organize, clean, and maintain large, multi-source datasets and ensure data integrity.

Responsibilities

• Operate across multi-level security environments and communicate effectively.
• Coordinate and integrate data from multiple program offices.
• Structure, maintain, and ensure integrity of large, multi-source datasets.
• Apply AI/ML models to support gap analyses and readiness assessments.
• Develop prompts to optimize AI-generated outputs for project needs.
• Build, validate, and interpret predictive models to forecast readiness trends and gaps.
• Manage databases and ETL processes to ensure data availability and performance.
• Create data visualizations, summaries, and technical reports for engineers and leadership.
• Ensure compliance with DoD/NAVAIR security, privacy, and regulatory requirements.
