Job summary

MiniMed in Juncos, Puerto Rico, is seeking a Technician II for the 2nd shift on-site. You will contribute to transforming designs into life-changing diabetes technology, calibrating and testing equipment, and working from schematics and instructions.

The role requires at least 2 years of relevant experience and a high school diploma or equivalent. Preference given to associates in electronic/engineering tech and those fluent in Spanish and English.

Qualifications

• Requires minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
• Requires high school diploma or equivalent (United States), vocational or technical education or certification (all other countries).
• Associate Degree in Electronic, Engineering Technology, Industrial Technology or related is a plus.
• Proficient knowledge in Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point.
• Fluent in Spanish and English.
• SAP knowledge is advantageous.
• Vision System basic knowledge is beneficial.
• PLC basic knowledge is helpful.
• Knowledge on interpretation of electrical and mechanical schematics.
• Troubleshooting knowledge on electronic and mechanical components, equipment or systems.

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of duties in the electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, and/or optical areas.
• Constructs, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, tests, diagnoses, and maintains equipment, components, devices, or systems.
• Works from schematics, engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions.
• Operates related equipment; conducts tests and reports data in prescribed format.
• Performs calibration and alignment checks; makes adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed; prepares prescribed compounds and solutions.
