Job summary

SDCCU is seeking three Systems Engineers to drive modernization across cloud, virtualization, storage, automation, and core infrastructure in a fully onsite San Diego role.

You will manage VMware, Windows Server/AD, and identity services, with automation via PowerShell, Python, and Bash. Target projects include cloud migrations, enterprise storage upgrades, and DR/backup modernization. Strong collaboration with IT leadership is expected.

Qualifications

• VMware administration in enterprise environments.
• Windows Server and Active Directory management.
• Identity management with Entra ID.
• Experience with cloud (Azure/AWS) or hybrid environments.
• Automation and scripting with PowerShell, Python, Bash.
• Infrastructure upgrades, migrations, modernization efforts.
• Proficiency with Pure Storage or enterprise storage.
• Root-cause analysis and complex infrastructure troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, migrate, automate, and improve large-scale infrastructure.
• Provide Tier III/IV engineering support for critical systems.
• Collaborate with cloud, storage, and virtualization teams on modernization projects.
• Participate in infrastructure migrations and deployment of automation solutions.
• Ensure DR/backup strategies are aligned with business continuity objectives.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of San Diego, CA.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $103480.00 - $139880.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

• ROLE PAID HOURLY: $49.75/hour-$67.25/hour *** FTE hourly with OT potential(has to be approved) 401(k) with 3% company match plus additional employer contribution. Medical, dental, and vision coverage with PPO and HMO options through major carriers. PTO and paid holidays. Tuition reimbursement up to $5,250 annually for eligible employees. Degree completion bonuses up to $1,500 for a Bachelor's and $3,000 for a Master's. Company-paid life insurance and long-term disability coverage. Wellness reimbursement up to $200 per year.
