Kimley-Horn is seeking a CAD Operator to join our Surface Water team in Charlotte, North Carolina. This non-remote role focuses on drafting site plans and construction drawings using AutoCAD and related tools, supporting project teams across the firm.

You will contribute to design development, maintain drawing databases, and ensure adherence to Kimley-Horn's drafting standards. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma (associates preferred) and up to 3 years of experience, with strong

• High school diploma or equivalent (associates degree preferred).
• 0 to 3 years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in Autodesk or Bentley products preferred.
• Detail oriented, professional attitude, good communication, team player, self-starter.
• Strong work ethic, interpersonal communication/writing skills and desire to learn.
• Ability to work independently and with a team.

Responsibilities

• Generate site plans and construction drawings using basic drafting software.
• Design and produce sets of plans; implement AutoCAD drafting standards.
• Assist in maintaining drawing database.
• Perform routine data accuracy analysis.
• Develop familiarity with Kimley-Horn’s practices, procedures, and standards.
