Job summary

Veolia North America, LLC is seeking a hazardous and non-hazardous waste services technician to support client facilities in Woodruff, SC. You will operate within state and federal environmental, health, and safety regulations and provide waste management services.

Responsibilities include packing, labeling, manifesting, and shipping waste per contract, maintaining a professional client image, and handling onsite waste needs. Training includes 40-hour HAZWOPER, Safety, and DOT.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2–4 years of forklift experience.
• 2–4 years of warehouse experience.

Job Description

Hours

Monday to Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m or 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Position Purpose

Responsible for providing hazardous and non-hazardous services at our client facility to meet our client's environmental needs in accordance with State and Federal environmental, health, and safety regulations. This position will work in a supervised and/or independent capacity to successfully and safely complete scheduled projects for customers. Responsibilities may include packing, labeling, manifesting, and shipping waste based on the contract parameters.

Primary Duties / Responsibilities

• Maintain a professional image with clients by answering inquiries and suggesting solutions to existing and potential problems.
• Manage onsite customer's hazardous and non-hazardous waste needs per the contact.
• Comply and enforce all environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures.
• Palletize drums and arrange for pickup.
• Unload trucks using a forklift or tugger Pick-up and pack recyclables. I.E Batteries, cardboard and plastic and non recyclables. I.E food waste

Qualifications

Education / Experience / Background:

• high school diploma/GED
• Two to four years of forklift experience
• Two to four years of warehouse experience.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

• Strong leadership and teamwork skills
• Proficiency with project/time management
• Knowledge of continuous process operations, chemical processing and waste disposal.
• Computer proficiency with Google Office.

Will Provide The Following Training

• 40 - hour HAZWOPER, Safety, and DOT

Additional Information

Pay Range: $22 to $23 per hour
