Job summary

General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems, located in US-AR-Hampton, seeks an experienced test/quality engineer to develop and implement process controls and testing procedures. You will design and install testing equipment, analyze results, and drive improvements to minimize defects and ensure reliability.

Requires 8–10 years' experience with an engineering degree and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Travel up to 25% is expected, with on-site work at GD-OTS facilities.

Qualifications

• Required education and experience: Associate's Degree and 8-10 years' experience.
• Discipline/Major: Engineering degree required.
• Critical professional related technical skills; computer skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Responsibilities

• Responsible for testing standard and/or custom products and equipment to assess their performance and reliability.
• Ensures products are designed and implemented in accordance to established quality standards and specifications.
• Serves as a primary source for problem identification and improvement.
• Selects testing specifications for new/existing products and ensures testing procedures are in compliance to industry standards.
• Documents procedures for all phases of testing and test results.
• Improves and automates the test methodology.
