Job summary

Timber-lee seeks an instructor and program facilitator for its summer camp, retreats, and outdoor education programs. This role includes pre- and post-Timber-lee planning and collaboration on camp ministry efforts.

You will instruct natural history and resources classes, develop instructional materials, assist in care of equipment and facilities, host groups, and support camp-wide projects. Applicants must be 18+, have a valid driver's license, and be willing to live on site in dorm housing.

Qualifications

Must be 18 years or older and have a valid driver's license.
College degree preferred; degrees in education or natural sciences are an asset.
Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and work outdoors in all seasons.
Experience teaching or leading groups in camp or similar setting is a plus.
Background checks required.

Responsibilities

Instruct activities, including classes on natural history sciences and natural resources.
Assist with creating instructional resources, including curriculum and display boards.
Care for equipment, departmental infrastructure, and land management activities.
Host camp groups and participate in camp-wide tasks.
Contribute to pre and post-Timber-lee experience planning and preparations.
Live on grounds in shared dorm-style housing.
