Job summary

Austin Industrial is seeking a skilled Scaffold Builder to construct, assemble, maintain, and dismantle tubular scaffolding and other temporary structures at our Lake Charles site. A minimum of 3 years of scaffolding craft experience is required, with a high school diploma and lubrication technician certification.

Qualifications

• High School diploma with a certification as a lubrication technician.
• Minimum of 3 years of scaffolding experience.
• Must be able to read and speak fluent English.
• Authorized to work in the United States; no visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Determine type of scaffold needed.
• Inspect scaffold materials and job site for defects and hazards.
• Communicate safety hazards to mitigate risks.
• Transport and erect tubular scaffolding to required dimensions.
• Hoist scaffolding materials and secure scaffold to structures.
• Secure and level locking sections of scaffolding material.
• Adhere to OSHA and Austin Industrial safety requirements.
• Perform final inspection of completed scaffolding.
• Dismantle scaffolding when instructed; properly stow materials after dismantling.
• Possess TWIC Card and valid state ID.
