Job summary

Cobalt AI is seeking a Reserve Engineer to join our on-site, fast-paced field-operations team in Memphis. You will service and repair robotics hardware at client sites, ensuring minimal downtime and excellent customer service.

This is a 1099 contractor role with paid training and opportunities to assist with deployments. You will report to the Regional Project Manager and travel locally 1–3 times per month. Flex/on-call schedule is required, with some after-hours work possible.

Qualifications

• Experience with robotics and field-service operations.
• Strong communication with technical and non-technical teammates.
• Ability to service hardware on client sites.
• Willingness to work on-site in Memphis, TN.
• Flexibility for on-call and after-hours work.
• Proven track record in fast-paced startup environments.

Responsibilities

• Learn robot hardware and perform maintenance.
• Communicate repair needs to customers and team.
• Address hardware failures safely and promptly.
• Assist with field operation projects and deployments.
• Travel to client sites 1-3 times per month.
• Report to Regional Project Manager for tasks.
