Job summary

Lonza in Bend, Oregon seeks an IPQA Specialist to provide real-time quality oversight of manufacturing operations, ensuring product quality, safety, and regulatory compliance. The role is fully site-based to support close collaboration and precision in medicines manufacturing.

The IPQA Specialist will monitor activities, review documentation, identify quality events, and partner with Production and Quality teams to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a scientific or engineering field preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in a regulated pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or related manufacturing environment is expected.
• Knowledge of cGMP requirements and quality systems.
• Experience reviewing manufacturing documentation and supporting quality compliance activities.
• Familiarity with SAP or similar platforms.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with ability to work across functions.
• Ability to work on-site and follow cleanroom gowning and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Monitor manufacturing and packaging activities to ensure compliance with quality and regulatory requirements.
• Review batch records and production documentation to identify issues and support right-first-time execution.
• Identify quality events and support investigations, impact assessments, and corrective actions.
• Perform line clearances and verify manufacturing and packaging readiness.
• Support material receipt, weighing, and dispensing activities from a quality perspective.
• Partner with Production and Quality teams to resolve issues and drive continuous improvement.
• Help maintain a compliant, safe, and inspection-ready manufacturing environment.
