Job summary

Barton Malow is seeking a Quality Project Engineer for a mission-critical project near Philadelphia, PA. This on-site role supports the project quality program, including inspections, nonconformance tracking, punch list management, and turnover documentation that proves the facility meets specification.

The role interfaces with project managers, the superintendent, trade partners, and commissioning teams, reporting into the project quality function and ensuring records are complete and current.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 2–5 years in a quality or engineering role on large-scale construction; mission-critical experience preferred.
• Experience executing inspections, tracking nonconformances, and managing turnover documentation.
• Ability to read drawings and specifications and identify deviations confidently.

Responsibilities

• Execute inspections against contract docs, approved submittals, and the project quality plan and document results.
• Manage inspection and test plan, coordinate hold points, third party testing and special inspections.
• Log, track nonconformances from issuance to closure and escalate aging items.
• Manage punch list development, area walks with owner/design team, and turnover doc verification.
• Asemble turnover packages with records, certifications, tests, warranties, and as-builts.
• Maintain quality documentation for audits and reviews; support readiness before production.
• Coordinate with commissioning team to align quality closure and startup readiness.
• Report quality metrics and open item status to project leadership with trend insights.
