Job summary

FlexSteel USA is seeking a Quality Control Technician I for Baytown, TX, with a 30-day training period and both day and night shifts. This on-site role emphasizes safety, quality, and production standards within our pipe technology division.

The candidate must have a high school diploma or GED, ANST Level II, and 2–4 years of inspection experience. The position supports quality routines, prepares shift reports, and conducts inspections to ensure compliance with Quality System guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED, plus quality systems training and ANST Level II certification.
• 2–4 years hands-on inspection experience, including documented safety training and leadership.
• English as primary language for all duties.
• Knowledge of quality systems, ISO 9001 and API.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.

Responsibilities

• Assure Quality representation for assigned shift.
• Prepare Quality shift reports and NCR/AR/SDR processing.
• Perform quality inspection audits and train on inspection procedures.
• Ensure inspections comply with Quality System requirements.
• Document work and verify procedures are followed.
• Assist with records processing and document control.
