Job summary

Elite-Recruiting- is seeking a seasoned Quality Control Manager (QCM) for a barracks renovation project at Fort Jackson, SC. The role requires on-site QC leadership, ensuring compliance with contract documents, plans, specs, and federal construction requirements.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Engineering or Construction Management and USACE CQM-C certification, with prior federal QC experience and strong documentation, communication, and travel readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management is required.
• USACE CQM-C certification is required.
• Experience in construction quality control on multiple project phases is required.
• Strong knowledge of drawings, specifications, submittals, RFIs, inspections and testing is required.
• Ability to maintain accurate QC documentation and reports is required.
• Excellent communication and coordination with PMs, subs, field personnel, government representatives, and inspectors is required.
• Willing to travel for future project assignments is required.

Responsibilities

• Manage the project's Quality Control Program throughout the barracks renovation.
• Perform and document QC activities to ensure contract compliance.
• Coordinate preparatory, initial, and follow-up QC phases.
• Review plans, specifications, submittals, shop drawings for quality requirements.
• Coordinate required inspections, testing, and documentation.
• Identify deficiencies and track corrective actions to completion.
• Maintain daily QC reports and supporting project documentation.
• Participate in project meetings and communicate quality concerns to project leadership.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and field personnel to ensure work meets QC standards before acceptance.
• Monitor ongoing construction for compliance with approved plans and submittals.
• Support project closeout, punch-list, inspections, and final documentation.
• Maintain an organized, audit-ready QC documentation system.
