Job summary

Selectek is seeking a QA/QC Inspector in Sterling, VA for an on-site, full-time role. The inspector will lead QA/QC for data center projects, ensuring electrical distribution cabinets meet design and safety standards, and will oversee documentation to support energization and handover.

The role requires coordinating with construction teams, vendors, and commissioning agents, with emphasis on compliance, safety, and precise inspections.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (preferred).
• Proven experience in QA/QC and commissioning for large-scale data center or industrial projects.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, PDCs, and associated testing protocols.
• Familiarity with industry standards, safety regulations, and documentation practices.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on compliance and safety.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and tight schedules.
• Skilled in interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
• Proficient in QA/QC reporting tools and commissioning documentation.

Responsibilities

• Quality Assurance & Control: Develop and enforce QA/QC plans for electrical equipment and installations. Oversee inspection processes including receipt verification, FAT, end-of-line checks, and installation verification. Ensure compliance with specifications, drawings, and safety standards through systematic audits and visual inspections. Manage documentation of deficiencies, corrective actions, and final acceptance.
• Risk & Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to lockout/tagout (LOTO) and energization safety protocols. Validate that all foreign object debris (FOD) inspections and remediation are completed prior to energization. Confirm readiness for energization through multi-party site walks and compliance checks.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Act as the primary liaison between construction teams, equipment vendors, and commissioning agents. Schedule and manage resources for commissioning activities, including weekend work when required. Provide technical guidance and resolve issues impacting quality or commissioning timelines.
