Job summary

Climax Molybdenum is seeking a Field/Pump Diagnostic Mechanic I to support maintenance of pumps and related equipment at the Climax Mine near Leadville, CO. The role includes training others, repairing and maintaining pumps, conveyors, and related machinery at an elevation above 10,000 feet.

Two years of mechanical/maintenance experience and welding proficiency are preferred. A housing allowance of $1,450 per month is offered for on-site employees meeting guidelines.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in mechanical/maintenance crafts as described in the posting.
• Proficiency in welding/cutting (MIG, TIG, ARC, Oxy-Acetylene).
• Working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, welding, plumbing, machine shop, blue prints, schematics.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the safe completion of routine and non-routine repairs.
• Perform routine and non-routine maintenance activities.
• Complete Work Orders and order parts with maintenance documentation.
• Repair, install, fabricate, rebuild, troubleshoot and maintain process equipment such as pumps, conveyors, dryers, gearboxes, and filters.
• Perform equipment lubrication.
• Operate small or large cranes and follow safe rigging practices.
• Follow MSHA/environmental rules and SOPs; participate in safety activities.
• Additional duties may be assigned.
