Job summary

Cummins Rocky Mount Engine Plant is seeking a Level 1 Manufacturing Associate to assemble diesel engine components, follow work instructions, and maintain quality and safety on the production line. You will participate in training, move materials as needed, and collaborate with teammates to meet daily production goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimal or no work experience required.
• Ability to follow work instructions and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Learn new tasks, follow feedback, and look for ways to improve your work.
• Move materials to ensure parts and supplies are available to keep production running.
• Communicate with coworkers, team leaders, and support departments when assistance is needed.
• Keep the work area clean and organized, and perform routine cleaning and equipment care.
• Meet production goals by completing work at the required pace while maintaining safety and quality.
• Operate hand tools, production machines, or other approved equipment to complete tasks.
• Maintain quality by checking your work and reporting defects before moving to the next station.
• Follow safety procedures, wear PPE, recognize hazards, and report unsafe conditions or injuries.
• Build and assemble engines according to work instructions and ensure parts are available to keep production moving.
