Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Product Security Engineer to support a defense-focused platform in Colorado Springs, CO. The role involves cybersecurity engineering, vulnerability management, security testing, and compliance across a complex system, with an on-site work arrangement.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in cybersecurity, active DoD Secret clearance, DoD 8140 IAT Level II certification (Security+ or higher), and a relevant degree.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in cybersecurity or related field.
• Active DoD Secret Clearance.
• DoD 8140 IAT Level II Certification (Security+ or higher).
• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, IT, CS, Engineering, or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Cyber Engineering teams to implement, validate, and test cybersecurity solutions across the platform environment.
• Coordinate cybersecurity test events, review test plans, execute security testing activities, and brief leadership on findings and risk impacts.
• Manage vulnerability remediation including IAVMs, CTOs, CVEs, vendor patch integration, and DISA STIG implementation.
• Support Agile Scrum teams through the SDLC by identifying requirements and ensuring cyber compliance.
• Perform cyber vulnerability assessments, security configuration activities, audits, and provide actionable recommendations.
