Eyes of Hermosa Optometry is seeking a licensed optometrist to perform comprehensive eye exams and manage ocular health for patients in Hermosa Beach, CA. You will educate patients, determine health histories, and provide appropriate refractive and medical care while supporting practice growth.

The role requires a Doctorate of Optometry and board certification; full-time, on-site employment with competitive benefits and a base wage range.

Formación

• Doctorate of Optometry from an accredited institution.
• Must have passed all optometric state boards.

Responsabilidades

• Establish long-term patient relationships through proper patient care and education.
• Performs verbal interview with patient prior to examination to determine health and ocular history, medical issues, reasons for visit and visual needs.
• Instructs, recommends and advises patients on options for refractive errors, systemic and ocular diseases and visual goals; hand-offs to support staff for recap discussion.
• Generate patient loyalty and promote the Optometry profession and the Acuity Eyecare Group values.
• Perform vision tests and analyze results.
• Diagnose sight problems such as myopia or hyperopia and eye diseases.
• Prescribe eyeglasses, contact lenses, and medications.
• Advise on treatments such as vision therapy or low-vision rehabilitation.
• Provide pre- and postoperative care for eye surgery and post-op examinations.
• Evaluate patients for diseases like diabetes and refer to other healthcare providers as needed.
• Counsel patients on eye health and proper contact lens care and schedule eye exams.
• Communicate recommendations clearly to a team of opticians and sales staff.
