Job summary

Holston Medical Group is hiring an Office Nurse (LPN/MA) for our on-site clinic. You will provide quality patient care, take vital signs, administer medications, and educate patients within the Patient-Centered Medical Home model.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, LPN license or MA certification, CPR, and 0–2 years of LPN experience. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Responsibilities

• Use patient first values in assisting patients with needs (care focus).
• Greet patients with compassion and a friendly face.
• Accurately assess and record patient vital signs in the electronic system.
• Prepare patients for examinations.
• Serve as Health Educator per Patient-Centered Medical Home model.
• Obtain prior authorizations and pre-certifications as needed.
• Dispose of contaminated supplies and used items.
• Sterilize medical instruments as needed.
• Keep exam rooms clean and stocked for patient use.
• Maintain supplies and equipment; stock as needed.
• Attend nurse meetings and educational opportunities.
• May be moved to other offices as business needs require.
• Pickup vaccines and medications as needed.
• Mail normal labs to patients; call with abnormal results.
• Perform patient service checks every 10 minutes.
• Change sharps container and biohazard trash.
• Follow policies and procedures of Holston Medical Group.
• Maintain communication with providers about patient needs.
• Report office issues to Nurse Manager and Regional Ops Manager.
• Ensure equipment is in operating order (crash cart, defibrillator, autoclave).
• Mentor new nursing staff and orient to the office.
• Maintain Health Department vaccination records for children.
• Keep clinical area compliant with site visit standards.
• Maintain patient PHI confidentiality.
