Job summary

East Penn Manufacturing is seeking a dedicated Occupational Health Nurse (RN) to join our on-site Medical Center team. The split-shift role covers 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM, providing clinical care, injury assessment, health education, and occupational health services within our manufacturing setting.

The Nurse collaborates with employees, physicians, supervisors, and management to promote a safe workplace, ensure regulatory compliance, and deliver timely care for work-related injuries and illnesses.

Qualifications

• Must hold valid Pennsylvania RN license.
• CPR certification required.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Must complete training on 1st shift before transitioning to 3rd shift.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the on-site Medical Center during assigned shift.
• Conduct physical assessments of injured or ill employees and determine the appropriate course of action.
• Coordinate medical treatment and referrals with physicians and outside providers.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation per policies and regulations.
• Monitor employee health concerns and provide health education on wellness initiatives.
• Stay current on OSHA, DOT, and applicable health standards; assist in updating procedures.
• Maintain awareness of workplace conditions and job-related health risks.
• Communicate health and safety concerns to management and employees.
• Support initiatives on injury prevention and regulatory compliance.
• Respond to medical emergencies and provide first aid as needed.
