Job summary

Community Care Partners is seeking an On Site Occupational Medicine Paramedic to perform triage, testing and patient care in a site clinical setting. The role requires 13-hour shifts during weekdays and 12-hour shifts on Saturdays.

You will respond to emergencies, administer IVs and medications, and document care while coordinating with local responders and the employer. A Paramedic certification and multiple certifications are required. At least two years of related experience is preferred.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Current Paramedic certification; BLS/ACLS/PALS/PHTLS certifications.
  • Minimum two years of relevant experience preferred, OSHA familiarity preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Triage patients and provide on-site care.
  • Respond to emergencies and act without direct supervision.
  • Administer IVs and medications as directed.
  • Perform drug/alcohol testing per policies.
  • Prepare scenes for responders and coordinate with EMS.
  • Document care in charts/EMR and log results.
  • Communicate with client on work-related injuries and reports.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Position Summary:

The On Site Occ Med Paramedic is responsible for performing patient triage, standard tests, procedures and patient care within a site clinical setting. Must be able to work 13-hour shifts during the week and 12-hour shifts on Saturdays.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
  1. Ability to work independently without direct or on-site supervision following company polices and protocols
  2. Ability to respond to on-site emergency situations and make decisions without supervision
  3. Treat all injuries from minor first aides to significant medical events
  4. Perform drug/alcohol testing following all policies and procedures of the employer/client
  5. Determine need to initiate local emergency medical response to the site
  6. Triage patients and assist in determining medical problems, administer IV’s and medications
  7. Participate in local emergency response coordination
  8. Prepare scene for first responders, communicate emergency response needs to the employer/client
  9. Communicate urgent needs to increase level of patient care
  10. Assist in claims investigation and support return to work program
  11. Determine appropriate referral for injuries not able to be treated on site
  12. Collect blood, tissue, and other laboratory specimens through routine in-house testing procedures, and analyze and prepare for testing, and log results
  13. Document patient care and procedures utilizing appropriate forms and electronic medical records system
  14. Provide reporting and serve as point of contact for client’s questions related to work related injuries, treatments summaries, drug test reporting and other requested information
  15. Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Education: High school graduate or equivalent is required.
  • Certificate/License: Current Certification as a Paramedic. Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, PHTLS certification.
  • Experience: A minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience is preferred, experience in OSHA occupational health regulations preferred
Working Conditions and Physical Demands:
  • Requires prolonged sitting, frequent standing, bending, stooping and occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, telephone, photocopier, calculator and other office equipment. Requires normal range of hearing and eye sight to record, prepare and communicate appropriate reports. Requires an uninhibited driver’s license to accommodate travel to off-site meetings and workgroup sessions.
  • Fast paced clinical office setting with possible exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, medicinal preparations and other conditions. All employees are required to comply with federal, state and organizational policies regarding confidentiality. Requires the ability to work under stressful conditions and occasionally work irregular hours.
