Job summary

Qualifications

• BLS (CPR) certification required.
• Nurse Practitioner licensure through the Louisiana State Board of Nursing.
• Nurse practitioners practicing in Louisiana must work under a collaborative practice agreement with the physician.
• ACLS certification preferred.
• Read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Must meet MRMC credentialing and privileging requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care, discussing symptoms and concerns and performing thorough examinations to diagnose medical problems and prescribe medication or create a treatment plan.
• Collaborates with physician(s) to treat more advanced illnesses or injuries as required.
• Reads, writes, and communicates effectively in English.
• Must be able to meet MRMC credentialing and privileging requirements.
