Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Network Engineer / Principal Network Engineer to join the Network Communications and Visibility team in Magna, Utah. On-site, full-time work at the Magna campus is required.

The role focuses on designing, implementing, and maintaining high-availability network infrastructure, collaborating with customers and vendors, and improving our secure communications environment.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree with 4 years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of relevant experience; higher credentials may be substituted per policy.
• Candidates must have the ability to obtain a U.S. Government Secret level security clearance as a condition of continued employment.
• Experience with Cisco hardware and setting up switched networks.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to clients, respond to their requests promptly and resolve network issues.
• Proficient knowledge with Cisco routers and switches.
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP related protocols, dynamic routing protocols, switching technologies.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of networking standards, guidelines, and industry trends.
• Plan, design, configure, and install network hardware in support of customer requirements.
• Interface with customers and manage installation timelines and deliverables.
