Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions seeks a Network Administrator (Deployed Support Specialist) to support a defense-focused organization. The role is on-site in Newport, Rhode Island, delivering direct network, systems, and deployment support for secure, reliable communications in operational missions.

The candidate will install and maintain routers, firewalls, DNS, AD, Exchange, and related infrastructure, while coordinating deployment logistics and IA training to comply with cybersecurity requirements.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional experience providing network administration and deployed technical support.
• Experience with routers, firewalls, IDS/IPS, DNS, Active Directory, and Microsoft Exchange.
• Active Secret Security Clearance required.
• CompTIA Security+ CE (or equivalent IAT Level II) required.
• CCNA certification or equivalent proficiency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide network guidance during deployment planning and troubleshoot issues during operations.
• Install, configure, maintain, and support routers, firewalls, IDS/IPS, DNS, AD, Exchange, and related network infrastructure.
• Support deployed users with hands-on network and systems administration in dynamic environments.
• Assist IA training initiatives and help ensure cybersecurity requirements compliance.
• Coordinate deployment logistics including hardware/software transportation and post-deployment reporting.
