Job summary

Weyerhaeuser Arcadia OSB is seeking a skilled Maintenance Multi-Craft Technician for the Simsboro, Louisiana facility. The role demands electrical and mechanical expertise to repair, modify, install, and maintain high-tech OSB equipment, with a focus on safety and reliability.

Qualified candidates should have 3+ years in industrial maintenance, be able to read blueprints and schematics, and be willing to work 12-hour rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years maintenance millwright or electrical experience in an industrial environment.
• Ability to work 12 hour rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Proficiency in at least two areas: electricity, electronics, PLC, logic, mechanical troubleshooting, power transmission, welding or hydraulics.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, mechanical drawings, and electrical schematics.
• Experience using maintenance tools.
• Ability to work at heights and in extreme temperatures.
• Commitment to observe all safety rules and wear PPE.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment technical test.
• Must attach a resume or provide work history.

Responsibilities

• Provide maintenance support to operations and lead preventative maintenance work.
• Demonstrate willingness to meet mill needs with safety as the priority.
• Cross-train in maintenance areas (mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic).
• Attend required onsite and offsite training.
• Use computerized maintenance systems and demonstrate troubleshooting decision making.
• Be a reliable team member contributing to meetings, feedback, and team building.
