Job summary

Hut 8 is seeking a Materials Manager to oversee on-site receiving, laydown, storage, and inventory control for data center construction. You will ensure material availability aligns with the installation schedule and prevent field delays by locating and tracking on-site materials.

You will coordinate with logistics teams, manage preservation requirements for major equipment, and maintain accurate inventory records while supporting safety and site operations in a fast-paced construction

Qualifications

• 5+ years in site materials management, warehousing, or field logistics on industrial, power, or data center construction projects.
• Direct experience receiving and storing major electrical/mechanical equipment, including OEM preservation requirements.
• Strong inventory-control discipline with location systems and cycle counts.

Responsibilities

• Oversee site receiving operations: scheduling, gate coordination, unloading, and inspection with photos.
• Manage laydown yards and climate-controlled storage with location tracking.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and reconcile against POs, BOMs, and issue records.
• Run disciplined material issue processes with requisitions and sign-out accountability.
• Coordinate schedule alignment with superintendents and planners for upcoming work fronts.
