Job summary

Ultipro is seeking a part-time on-site phlebotomy teammate in Utah. The role involves performing venipunctures and skin punctures, handling blood cultures and specimen collection from patients of all ages, and assisting the Clinical Laboratory to ensure accurate and timely results.

The candidate should demonstrate competency in vein, finger, and heel sticks, maintain patient safety, and follow hospital policies while delivering courteous care to patients and staff.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy and venipuncture skills required.
• Knowledge of test requirements and sample collection.
• Ability to perform blood draws with minimal patient discomfort.

Responsibilities

• Draw blood competently from infants to adults.
• Perform blood cultures, urine, throat, and nasopharyngeal samples as needed.
• Label, record, and prepare specimens for testing.
• Follow Standard Precautions and dispose of sharps safely.
• Assist in the Clinical Laboratory and handle clerical tasks when required.
