Job summary

Tekchix is seeking Entry-Level IT Deployment/Field Technicians for an on-site contract position in Greater New Orleans, Lafayette, and Shreveport. Responsibilities include deploying IT equipment, troubleshooting issues, and providing customer support to enhance the end-user experience.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma, basic IT knowledge, and excellent communication skills. This role requires the ability to lift equipment and reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma; IT-related coursework or certifications preferred.
• Basic understanding of computer hardware, operating systems, and networking.
• Ability to lift and move equipment (up to 50 lbs).
• Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Deploy desktops, laptops, and peripheral devices at client locations.
• Install and configure operating systems, applications, and network settings.
• Assist with imaging and re-imaging of devices.
• Troubleshoot basic hardware and software issues during deployment.
