acuCyber is seeking an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to support authorization and ongoing security for mission applications, cloud infrastructure, and enterprise services at a Government facility. The ISSO will connect security requirements to how systems are built and operated.

This role involves reviewing technical evidence, investigating compliance gaps, and working with engineers to resolve findings as software, infrastructure, and system configurations evolve.

Qualifications

• RMF/ATO process experience preferred
• Ability to translate security requirements into system design and operation
• Experience reviewing technical evidence and assessing compliance gaps
• Familiarity with DoD and IC security requirements

Responsabilités

• Support RMF activities to obtain and maintain ATO for systems across applicable classification levels.
• Develop and maintain authorization documentation (SSPs, control statements, boundary descriptions).
• Coordinate with system owners, ISSMs, assessors, and engineering teams to prepare authorization packages and resolve findings.
• Maintain POA&Ms, track remediation progress, and communicate unresolved risks.
