Job summary

Future Tech Enterprise, Inc. is seeking an entry-level Configuration Technician for on-site work in Linthicum, MD. The role focuses on configuring and imaging laptop, desktop, and server systems, with strict adherence to imaging procedures.

The position requires US citizenship, involves operating hours Monday-Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, and is expected to last about 12 weeks as a temporary assignment. Prior experience and certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

Install operating systems and software packages on a variety of computer systems.
Conduct software imaging for both new and repurposed desktops and laptops.
Deploy system images using imaging packages for optimal performance.
Integrate hardware components onto laptops, desktops, and servers.
Identify and resolve issues with laptops and desktops that are non-operational upon receipt.
Diagnose various returned computers and peripherals.
Perform post-imaging tasks including system renaming and domain joining.
Follow imaging procedures meticulously for consistent results.
Generate asset tags and securely affix to hardware.
Unpack and set up materials to initiate configuration.
Verify part numbers and address discrepancies promptly.
Daily quality control assessments to ensure accuracy.
Maintain a clean, organized shared work area.
