Job summary

A cybersecurity solutions provider is seeking a skilled Network Intrusion Detection Engineer in Washington, DC. The candidate must have significant Linux expertise and hands-on experience with IDS/IPS systems like Suricata, Snort, or similar. Responsibilities include deploying and maintaining IDS systems, optimizing configurations, and troubleshooting within a Red Hat environment. Candidates should hold a TS/SCI clearance and have solid experience in tuning high-performance systems. This position requires on-site work with no remote options.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with Snort, Suricata, or other network IDS/IPS systems.
• Strong knowledge of YAML configuration control.
