Job summary

NextFlex, located in San Jose, CA, seeks a Hybrid Electronics Process Engineer to develop and scale hybrid electronics manufacturing processes using screen printing, gravure offset, and aerosol jet in a hands-on role at the Tech Hub.

You will own equipment and processes end-to-end, collaborating with designers on DfM criteria and publishing process instructions while driving improvements in reliability and production readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a mechanical/electrical/materials/manufacturing engineering related field or equivalent experience.
• Experience with CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Expedition.
• Hands-on experience with precision instruments and inspection equipment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop, optimize, and validate manufacturing processes for hybrid electronics and printed/embedded components.
• Own troubleshooting on the production floor, diagnosing and resolving equipment, materials, and process issues.
• Analyze data across mechanical, electrical, and process domains to improve yields and performance.
• Design and build custom manufacturing fixturing using CAD tools for repeatable, scalable production.
• Program and operate advanced fabrication tools, including robotic systems and laser platforms.
• Create clear manufacturing documentation and best practices for pilot and low-volume production.
• Train teammates on manufacturing best practices including inkjet printing and optical inspection.
• Collaborate with vendors and partners to track emerging capabilities and improve performance.
• Own data-driven print tool programs, including development, optimization, and spare parts strategy.
• Contribute to Fab Operations strategy through active participation in technical planning.
