Job summary

Freeport-McMoRan is seeking an HR Generalist to collaborate with site HR and Operations to implement effective HR processes and maintain regulatory compliance. The role focuses on staffing, performance management, training, and employee relations within a large mining operation.

You will support investigations, workforce planning, and HR improvements, while protecting employee privacy and contributing to a positive, inclusive workplace culture. On‑site work is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and four years of professional HR experience.
• Strong knowledge of core HR processes: staffing, employee relations, performance management, training.
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with site HR and Operations leadership to advise on HR and labor regulatory issues.
• Implement HR goals, processes, and systems to build organizational capability across staffing, performance, and development.
• Support investigations and compliance-based activities under direction of HR team members.
• Assist workforce planning and forecasting aligned with site and Corporate HR processes.
