Job summary

Josh Pros LLC is seeking a Hematology/Medical Oncology physician to join a healthcare client in North Carolina. The role is on-site, requiring MD or DO with fellowship in Hematology and Medical Oncology and board-eligibility or certification.

You will diagnose and treat solid tumors and hematologic disorders, coordinate multidisciplinary care, and participate in tumor boards and clinical research as needed. Licensure in NC or eligibility is required.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of an accredited Internal Medicine residency.
• Completion of fellowship training in Hematology and Medical Oncology.
• Board-certified or board-eligible in Hematology and Oncology, as required by the employer.
• Active North Carolina medical license or eligibility to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and diagnose solid tumors, blood cancers, and benign hematologic disorders.
• Develop and manage treatment plans involving chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapies, and other appropriate treatments.
• Monitor treatment response, side effects, complications, and disease progression.
• Order and interpret laboratory tests, imaging, pathology reports, and other diagnostic studies.
• Provide supportive care and coordinate symptom management and palliative care when appropriate.
• Collaborate with surgeons, radiation oncologists, pathologists, nurses, and advanced practice providers.
• Discuss diagnoses, prognosis, and treatment options with patients and families.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with applicable medical regulations.
• Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards and quality improvement initiatives.
• Support clinical research or oncology education when required by the practice.
