Job summary

SpaceX in Starbase, TX is seeking a Supplier Quality Specialist (Starship) to strengthen our external quality surveillance and drive corrective actions with suppliers. You will own non-conformances, partner with vendors to implement new processes, and help reduce vendor-caused defects while supporting engineering and production.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree or 3+ years in engineering or quality, experience with GD&T, AS9100, CAPA and supplier development, plus strong communication

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 3+ years in engineering, supply chain, manufacturing or quality field.
• Experience with AS9100 or similar quality management system.
• Experience reading engineering drawings including GD&T.
• Proficiency with supplier quality processes and CAPA.
• Strong written and verbal communication and cross-functional collaboration.
• Proficiency in MS Office and data analytics.

Responsibilities

• Improve issue ticket landscape for our products and vendors.
• Dissect tickets to improve vendor performance and reduce risk.
• Own supplier and production non-conformances (SDR/MRB).
• Partner with vendors to implement new processes to reduce issues.
• Improve and enforce quality management processes with suppliers.
• Manage containment, receiving and inspection non-conformances and resolve.
• Analyze quality metrics to identify trends and root causes.
• Support supplier onboarding and audits; provide feedback on methods.
• Drive CAPA, RTV and other corrective actions across supply base.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement and Production to assure quality.
• Travel up to 25% and onsite work at Starbase, TX.
