On-Site General Ledger Accountant – Endicott

Job summary

Amphenol IPC (AIPC) seeks a highly motivated General Ledger Accountant to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records. This on-site role in Endicott, NY handles month-end close, invoicing, reconciliations, and financial reporting, supporting audits and process improvements.

The ideal candidate will have a accounting degree and strong Excel skills, with knowledge of GP and Mandarin a plus. U.S. work authorization required; remote work is not offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
• Solid understanding of general accounting principles and procedures.
• Knowledge of international accounting practices is preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP is preferred.
• Ability to read and speak Mandarin is a plus but not required.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas and functions.
• High attention to detail with the ability to work accurately under pressure and manage frequent interruptions.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data analysis skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.

Responsibilities

• Process customer invoicing accurately and in a timely manner.
• Review and process supplier receipts and invoices.
• Prepare and maintain general ledger account reconciliations.
• Review and approve banking transactions.
• Crosstrain on functions performed by other finance team members to provide backup support as needed.
• Assist with annual audits and respond to auditor requests.
• Proactively investigate and resolve discrepancies, including incomplete or inconsistent data and missing source documentation.
• Assist with the preparation and analysis of schedules for monthly Operations Reports, annual Tax Packages, and semi-annual Hard Close activities.
• Support special reporting and analysis requests from Corporate.
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and internal controls.
