National Carwash Solutions in Newark, NJ is seeking a Service Technician I (FST) to perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs on vehicle wash equipment on-site.

Qualifications

• Mechanical, electrical, and plumbing aptitude demonstrated through school or hobby work.
• Ability to read and interpret manuals and instructions.
• Strong communication and organizational skills with basic computer use.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic service work on vehicle wash equipment and accessories, including troubleshooting of electrical, electronic, and mechanical problems to identify corrective action.
• Assist in replacing, repairing, or adjusting parts and systems as necessary.
• Inspect, calibrate, and check chemicals under supervision.
• Run equipment through cycles to ensure basic system functioning.
• Assist in advising customers on service needs and basic replacement recommendations.
• Inspect equipment to ensure proper function and safety compliance.
• Provide basic operation and maintenance information to customers.
• Develop rapport with customers and maintain positive service quality.
• Deliver parts or supplies to customers as needed.
• Complete work orders, expense reports, and time logs accurately.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of equipment changes through training and manuals.
• Assist in maintaining inventory on service vehicles.
• Comply with all service policies, procedures and OSHA/EPA regulations.
