Job summary

Black Diamond Equipment Rental, LLC is seeking a Field Service Technician to provide on-site technical support and maintenance for rental equipment, diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems, including compressors, fiber optics, and fire alarms.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, hands-on troubleshooting experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to work independently in diverse field environments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience in troubleshooting and repairing electrical and mechanical systems.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Experience with computer hardware and diagnostic test equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site troubleshooting and repair of electrical, mechanical, and computer hardware systems.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and inspections to ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently.
• Utilize test equipment and diagnostic tools to identify faults and implement corrective actions promptly.
• Install, maintain, and repair fiber optic systems and fire alarm equipment as required by client specifications.
• Document all service activities accurately and communicate effectively with customers and internal teams to provide status updates and technical guidance.
• Participate in an on-call rotation to provide after-hours support for urgent customer inquiries and equipment rental needs.
