Job summary

SGI Global is seeking a Junior Compliance Officer to support a federal law enforcement client with I-9 audit support services and worksite enforcement compliance activities in an on-site government facility environment.

The role emphasizes reviewing employment eligibility documentation, conducting database research, and preparing audit-ready case files and reports to support enforcement actions. Ideal for early-career professionals in federal compliance and investigative support.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree preferred; minimum educational requirement is an Associate level degree.
Education preferred in Business, Accounting, Finance, Information Systems or a similar field.
1-3 years experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Inputting and evaluating data.
Use DHS databases to run queries, prepare spreadsheets, and conduct research.
Assist Auditors and Criminal Investigators with evaluation of Employment Eligibility Verification Form I-9.
Draft audit reports and associated administrative fine paperwork to support Notices of Intent to Fine, Final Orders, Warning Notices and related documentation for HSI audits.
Coordinate functions and procedures with Criminal Investigators and Auditors.
Perform administrative functions to ensure compliance with basic property, time and attendance, facility, and IT processes in government locations.
