Job summary

Critical Materials Group in Ballinger, TX, is seeking a Material Handler to receive, store, move, issue, and ship energetic materials for DoD production and testing. The role operates on-site in a safety-conscious environment under DESR and related regulations.

The successful candidate will manage cycle counts, material traceability, and batch material usage while supporting ERP setup and continuous improvement of inventory processes.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of inventory/materials experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with batch manufacturing and lot-controlled inventory.
• Strong ERP/MRP experience; ERP implementation or process-build experience strongly preferred.
• Proven experience building or improving inventory systems and processes.
• Strong understanding of receiving, inventory control, production consumption, and traceability.
• Comfortable working hands-on in a fast-paced, early-stage manufacturing environment.
• Must obtain and maintain HAZMAT shipping certification.

Responsibilities

• Manage receiving, inventory movements, material issuance, cycle counts, and finished goods.
• Maintain accurate inventory, locations, lot numbers, and material traceability.
• Support batch manufacturing, including material consumption, yields, scrap, and adjustments.
• Help build inventory processes, controls, and SOPs from the ground up.
• Support ERP implementation and help translate shop-floor processes into the system.
• Investigate inventory discrepancies and drive corrective actions.
• Work closely with Supply Chain, Production, and Finance to maintain inventory accuracy.
