Job summary

Ostrenga Excavating Inc., based in Green Bay, Wisconsin, is seeking an Estimator/Project Manager for a full-time, on-site role. You will develop accurate cost estimates and manage projects from bid through completion.

Daily tasks include reviewing plans and specifications, performing quantity takeoffs, preparing detailed proposals, and coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers. You will collaborate with field crews and leadership to plan work, resolve issues, and ensure safety and quality

Qualifications

• Strong estimating and project estimation skills; read drawings and specs; perform quantity takeoffs.
• Cost management and budgeting to track and forecast project costs.
• Effective communication with crews, suppliers, subcontractors, and clients; clear reports and proposals.
• Experience in construction/excavation project management, scheduling, resource coordination, on-site problem-solving.
• Proficiency with estimating software, Excel, and basic PM tools; knowledge of CM systems is a plus.
• Knowledge of excavation methods, site work practices, and safety regulations; OSHA awareness beneficial.
• Ability to work on-site in varying weather; conduct field visits and engage with operations teams.
• High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in construction management or related field is advantageous.
