Job summary

T1 Energy is building a domestic solar module fab in Rockdale, Texas, and seeks an Equipment Engineer to own wet-process tools from install through high-volume production. You’ll work on texture, RCA-clean rear polish, and removal tools in a 24/7, on-site role with a strong emphasis on uptime and process reliability.

Join a fast-moving team responsible for developing a greenfield fab, establishing PM procedures, and ensuring safe handling of chemical processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; hands-on engineering in semiconductor/solar or high-volume manufacturing preferred.
• Experience diagnosing and fixing complex equipment to root cause; able to work with hazardous chemicals.
• Strong communication across process, production, facilities, EHS, and suppliers; capable of quick, data-informed decisions.

Responsibilities

• Own OEE, availability, MTBF, and MTTR for the toolset.
• Respond quickly to tool downtime; diagnose, repair, and document root cause.
• Lead 8D, FMEA, and Pareto analyses to resolve chronic failures and leaks.
