Job summary

Bollinger Shipyards in Lockport, LA is seeking a motivated Electrical Engineering Intern for a full-time, on-site summer internship. You will gain hands-on experience by supporting the Engineering department with research, documentation, and design review.

The role is for students in an Electrical Engineering program (junior or senior). Proficiency with MS Office plus familiarity with AutoCAD or MATLAB is a plus; must be authorized to work in the United States.

Qualifications

• Must be a current junior or senior in an Electrical Engineering program.
• Familiarity with MS Office; experience with AutoCAD or MATLAB is a plus.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Engineering department by conducting research and preparing technical documentation.
• Perform general office tasks with high attention to detail, including organizing reports and maintaining engineering records.
• Support electrical system design and analysis, including reviewing schematics, electrical diagrams, and component specifications.
• Assist in evaluating power distribution systems, control circuits, and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Collaborate effectively with engineers, designers, and other personnel to support various projects.
