Jacobs is seeking an On-Site Electrical Engineer to support electrical infrastructure delivery on a major project near Baton Rouge, LA. You will serve as the field representative coordinating between construction teams and design engineers.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering and 10+ years of experience in design, construction, or commissioning, with hyperscale data center exposure preferred. You will manage on-site activities, safety, inspections, and startup support.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• 10+ years in electrical design, construction, or commissioning.
• 5+ years supporting hyperscale data center projects (preferred).
• Experience with substations, switchgear, UPS, generators, MV/LV distribution.
• Familiar with electrical codes, standards, and testing requirements.
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
• Ability to safely work on active construction sites.

Mansioni

• Serve as the primary on-site representative for electrical systems.
• Support construction activities across MV/LV distribution, grounding, controls.
• Perform daily field observations for quality, safety, and progress.
• Coordinate design issues and field modifications with engineering teams.
• Facilitate RFIs, submittals, and equipment substitutions.
• Support BIM coordination and interdisciplinary reviews.
• Monitor installations for compliance with drawings and specs.
• Identify deficiencies and schedule risks.
• Coordinate inspections, testing, energization, and startup.
• Collaborate with commissioning, QA/QC, Owner teams for implementation.
• Prepare weekly site observation reports and participate in meetings.
