Job summary

Tagup is a defense technology company founded at MIT delivering logistics decision advantage with AI. We’re growing rapidly and are looking for change-makers passionate about delivering innovative technologies to solve high-stakes problems in national security.

This role embeds with customer programs to integrate our platform with government data, onboard messy data, and build workflows for deployments, including on-site when required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Python and/or TypeScript, with SQL and data-heavy work.
• Clear communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Bias toward ownership and delivering working systems.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites (military installations across the U.S.).
• U.S. citizenship and eligibility to obtain a U.S. government security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Integrate our platform with government data and systems under real constraints.
• Configure the product against program requirements and support releases.
• Build custom workflows that drive adoption and engagement with key customers.
• Triage and resolve customer-reported issues in their environments.
• Own a component or program workstream end to end.
• Spend time on-site with customers and feed learnings back to the product team.
• Write, test, and review code to a standard the team can build on.
