Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an On-Site CSA Engineer for a Baton Rouge project. The role oversees civil, structural, and architectural disciplines during construction, coordinating owner, contractor, and design teams, and resolving field design issues.

You will perform daily site walks, review field conditions, manage RFIs, and provide weekly observation reports while supporting BIM and QA/QC activities. Requires 10+ years in large-scale construction and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree requirement in civil/structural, architecture, construction management, or related field.
• 10+ years in large-scale commercial/industrial, mission-critical, or data center construction.
• 5+ years supporting hyperscale data centers.
• Strong CSA systems knowledge.
• Experience reviewing drawings and construction documentation.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Serve as on-site CSA design and construction liaison.
• Conduct daily site walks to monitor progress, quality, compliance, and constructability.
• Coordinate design issues between field teams and design consultants.
• Evaluate field conditions and facilitate design clarifications and revisions.
• Support responses to RFIs, submittals, substitutions, and field inquiries.
• Review installation activities for conformance with design intent and project specifications.
• Identify deficiencies, deviations, and quality concerns.
• Participate in punch walks, inspections, testing, and turnover activities.
• Provide weekly site observation reports documenting progress, risks, issues, and recommendations.
• Support BIM coordination, mockups, and site validation.
• Coordinate with QA/QC, commissioning, and Owner reps to resolve construction issues.
• Proactively identify project risks and support mitigation planning.
• Establish clear communication and escalation processes among stakeholders.
