• Proficient in legal Research, including case law, statutes, regulations, and procedural rules relevant to criminal defense.
• Skilled in Negotiation with prosecutors and opposing counsel to pursue favorable plea agreements and settlements.
• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school and active membership in good standing with the Florida Bar.
• Prior experience in criminal defense or as a prosecutor strongly preferred.
• Excellent written and oral advocacy skills, including motion practice and courtroom presentation.
• Ability to manage multiple cases, prioritize workload, and work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Handle a criminal defense caseload from intake through resolution, including client consultations and case evaluations.
• Develop individualized defense strategies and draft motions, briefs, and other court filings.
• Negotiate with prosecutors and represent clients at hearings, depositions, and trials.
• Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to prepare evidence, interview witnesses, and maintain case documentation.
• Provide clear, informed legal advice to clients and manage deadlines in accordance with ethical standards.
