Job summary

Carter Lumber Company is seeking a Project Manager to oversee subcontractors on site and ensure that all work meets company standards and contract requirements. You will manage the full project life cycle, build strong relationships with the project team, and maintain safety, profitability, and timeliness across projects.

The role requires on-site work with overnight travel and strong organizational and communication skills. A results-driven mindset and alignment with company goals are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience managing construction projects and subcontractors.
• Ability to read architectural drawings and blueprints.
• Strong organizational and communication abilities.
• Ability to analyze, troubleshoot and handle high-pressure situations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Willingness to travel overnight.

Responsibilities

• Oversees subcontractors on site and inspects work for quality control.
• Ensures each project stage meets timeline and contract requirements.
• Provides leadership and maintains good relations with the project team.
