Job summary

AE Works is seeking a Construction Manager / Project Manager – Design & Construction to act as on-site representative for commercial projects. You will coordinate the execution from design through construction, aligning owner, contractor, and design team expectations while controlling schedule and budget across Pittsburgh, PA or Washington, DC with travel.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field is preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in commercial design/construction management.
  • Strong knowledge of construction materials, contracts, and documentation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication with detail orientation.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary construction point of contact for owners, designers, and contractors.
  • Coordinate design and construction activities across design, bidding, permitting, and construction phases.
  • Manage project budgets and maintain monthly forecasts; report on hard and soft costs.
  • Lead owner/architect/contractor meetings and ensure alignment with contract documents and schedules.
